Tobiloba Afolayan is a distinguished storyteller whose fiction explores love in its many forms, often interwoven with mythology, spirituality, and destiny. She holds a degree in English and Literature from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a master’s in digital Campaign and Content Creation from Queen Margaret University, UK.

Her breakout work When a Woman Wants won the African Romance Competition Award on Ebonystory in 2017 and has since drawn over 700,000 reads. Collectively, her stories have surpassed 5 million reads and earned a global following of more than 50,000 readers. Her debut novel Odidere was published in June 2025.

She lives in Ibadan, Nigeria, with her husband and children.
