About Us

Paperworth Books is an independent publisher based in Lagos. Founded in 2002, we grew from a Port Harcourt bookshop to publish authentic and unique voices in Nigerian fiction. We also publish narrative non-fiction, including biographies, memoirs and history books.

We are responsible for publishing the first novels of acclaimed writers Chimeka Garricks, Paul Ugbede and Eriye Onagoruwa and currently publish Nigerian Canadian writer Michael Afenfia’s latest books.

Ibiso Graham-Douglas founded Paperworth Books Limited in 2002. She is an international publishing and book development consultant and a seasoned conference speaker passionate about knowledge and books and fostering their access across Nigeria and the larger African continent.

Ibiso has a master’s in Publishing from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts, a certificate in New Creative Ventures from the London Business School and an MBA in International Business Management from Griffith College, Dublin.

Paperworth Books are open to partnerships and collaborations on book development seeking to foster innovative solutions for the democratisation of learning in Africa.

Paperworth Books Limited was founded by Ibiso Graham-Douglas. She has a BA Financial Services and Politics from the London Guildhall University, MA in Publishing from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts, a Certificate in New Creative Ventures from the London Business School and an MBA in International Business Management from the Griffith College, Dublin.

An experienced executive across public and private organisations in the different sectors to include Power, Government, Gender Development and the Book Industry. Ibiso is passionate about knowledge and books and about fostering their access across Nigeria and the African larger context.
